Yay, another freak! :3 I do get a little tired of standard bm vox sometimes, it's nice when they add some variety like how Woods of Infinity alternates between low and high:

This was interesting. The Xasthur didn't do much for me, too much effect on the voice.

It's interesting to me, how rarely Black Metal, for all its pick whittling tremolo speed, rarely ever gets past the blues progressions.

I played Bathory's Under the Sign of the Black Mark, Blood Fire Death, and Hammerheart in the past couple of weeks, and I really don't see much "progression" in Black Metal since. I never heard anyone top that godawful, despicable vocal in "Equimanthorn" or "Call From the Grave". Best Black Metal vocals ever, in my delightfully horrified opinion.

This vocal gives me associations to some seriously forgotten room in an old, not very cosy mental hospital. It defines "psychotic". I think I prefer the music itself :). My wife also thought the vocal was unpleasant.

A favorite since its release close to 40 years ago.

Not as good as Squeezing... but still good.

Do you have this one, Corey? I love it.

I kinda like how this band's gimmicky self-proclaimed genre actually describes them quite well - faerical blasting punk.

This song is adorable. The vocalist sounds like a spoilt kid.

A new album I just picked up.  I like the track "Diva" off this (1984):

It's weird to see that album here. Why did you buy it?

Because you posted about it, I listened to samples.

In that case, glad you liked it!  :)
