Hi! I'm looking for someone tall and dark; is this the right board?  :-*

Well, we had Lebron James here for a while, until he found out "Classical Music" wasn't Run DMC... ;)

Sergei Rachmaninov with his 1m98 and skinny frame would have qualified on a basketball team.  Not your scruffy looking player, but in those days you had to have the clean look.

Welcome on board

Thanks, sounds ideal. I like his piano music too so it's a win-win.

ComposerOfAvantGarde

There is a composer of the avant garde around here somewhere but he's very average height. I fail to understand what a red panda wants with a tall, dark someone.

nodogen

Hello there alien and jess. ✌

Your height matters less than you having a cat. Cats get on with red pandas. At least that's what I'm hoping...

Welcome aboard, post often and, above all, enjoy  :)

Thanks! Traditionally I have indeed gone for quantity over quality.

(btw I recently watched a series following a trek up the west coast of Ireland: what fabulous countryside).

Mahlerian

Welcome.  Refugees and immigrants can make their home here.

Welcome aboard, nodogen! I hope you enjoy your time here as much as I have (and continue to). 8)

Many thanks Mahlerian, Mirror Image and North Star.

Gosh, "newbie", it makes me feel quite youthful! It'll pass...

nodogen

Ooo, I've just morphed into a full member. I said I felt youthful.

Speaking of:

It's a matter of perspective, whether Philip is half-empty or half full.

Glad that you liked that.  8)
We have a prevailing south westerly wind which brings both heat and rain, hence our temperate climate. An unfortunate consequence of this is our unpredictable weather patterns. However, if one is prepared to tolerate this, the west coast of Ireland offers many unique landscapes and indeed a unique people and is always highly recommended as a holiday attraction. There is also the strong element of traditional Irish music to help sooth any weather concerns.  :)
