You're right. What was I thinking?I haven't composed for solo flute for a reason...Of course, I use flute very often (and enjoy it!).
Was it a registral matter? Di you need to soloist to clear away from the accompaniment texture?

I've just finished the 2nd movement of my 17th chamber symphony (for 14 players). It's a pastoral work that's a far cry from the 17th Piano Sonata, which is pretty jarring.
