Been away for awhile. Here is  The Anger Quintet, for Piano and winds. I composed these movements after a hellish flight (aren't they all).

Here's a revised Piano Variations. It's very harsh, being based on a descending chromatic line (C,B,Db, Bb, A, Ab C, G, Gb E). It's only around 6 minutes :-\...

Oh...and I finished the piano-wind quintet. The movements are in reverse order since lots of people only listen to the first mov on the playlist.

I've completed a few new works. This one is a suite for string quintet. It's got 5 short movements so far, ranging from frantic atonal to diatonic chorales. I find the extra cello helps get a much richer sound at only 25% more... ;)

Here is a part of my 21st Piano Sonata...the 2nd and 3rd movements. Since my 1st movements often require more revision than the others, I often compose it last. That way I know my themes intimately and can more seamlessly express them as I go. Here it is:

The 3rd mov. score is at my blog...

(Starting to catch up a bit.)  I especially enjoy the ease of tone, combined with the flashes of rhythmic upheaval.

Thanks Karl! I've been out of town the past week so it is only now that I see your encouraging words. In the meantime, I need to listen to some other composers here (it seemed the line went dead for awhile) and hear the latest.

Oh, and I've composed a 21st Sonata that I'm still tweeking. It's got lots of rhythmic upheaval ;)  ...

I'm in the process of composing a suite-like chamber symphony which is tentatively called the Dance Symphony  (No. 20)

Very good.  Does this "belong" with other movements, Ron, or are those as yet in the works?

Yes Karl...there are now four movements (I've revised the first two) and there will be one or two more. Thanks for listening!

Here is the Epilogue to my Dance Piece. It's  Copland and Barber-like in nature (plus some Roumanis ;))
