Here are two pieces from a violin sonata. They're so new I can't really access them...here they are.

Beautiful work!

Thanks, Karl!  I finally AM moving( to Ottawa) and will have access to quality musicians. Some of these works might see the light of day (though connecting w/ performers is never easy)...

Here is the finale of the violin sonata. Just completed today, it is the canons and heavy syncopation of the first movement and finishes with a lyrical solo as in the 1st mov. Though it's gratifying to finish with a bang, I choose to use materials based on the Lento 2nd at the end as that's more in character with the work in its totality.

Lovely;  restlessly epigrammatic, yet feels like a good conclusion.

I'm composing a short set for oboe and piano. Here's the 2nd movement...

Boy, things are slow this summer 8). Here's the 1st movement of a divertimento I just completed. It should be fun for the players.. The 2nd movement is also included.

Diggin' it. Reminds me in parts of Hindemith's Kammermusik. Any inspiration coming from that general direction?

It wasn't my intent, but after a couple of days distance, I was surprised to hear the similarity, which is fine by me. Its origin was in the horn ostinato; I thought I could have some fun with the figure and all of the counterpoint. It does sound a bit like cheeky Paul.
