Here are the first 2 movements of my 34th piano sonata. I'd say it's a thunderstorm alert with the occasional  blue sky.

Here are all three movements to my "Mystic Symphony" for Chamber Orchestra. A jaunty first movement followed by a fast 2nd and a short-lyrical epilogue.

Just completed at midnight 1-14-21. Here is the just-completed slow movement (draft) to the piano sonata. In most of my music, the melody grows out of the harmonies and the distinction is often subtle (in diatonic music this is not so much the case). In slow music, some notion of melody is important as the rhythms and contrapuntal figures of fast music (listen to the 1st movement of this sonata (35)) are routinely rounded out. In this work, I use chord layering as a means of adding melodic gestures and harmonic depth. Under many chords are other chords that have their own business to mind. This movement will be connected to a final movement which is being foreshadowed with the faster runs and arpeggios. I hope you like it.
