My August trip to the US--Anyone in the neighbourhood?

As my health has miraculously improved, I am coming to the US in August to accompany my nephew who will be starting college at Iowa State.
I will be in LA, Las Vegas, Des Moines, Ames, St. Louis and back to LA.
I do not think I know anyone in Iowa.

Do I pass by your neighbourhood?
Do what I must do, and let what must happen happen.
