I have heard more like a half dozen and I admittedly don't remember how moumental the Great Gate is in these recordings, but 2 highly regarded ones in great sound are Giulini/Chicago/DG (1970s analogue, also overall a bit slower which might add to the gate) and Chailly/Concertgebouw/Decca (I think this was widely praised in the late 1980s/early digital age).
Tout le malheur des hommes vient d'une seule chose, qui est de ne savoir pas demeurer en repos, dans une chambre.

I felt the Bernstein/NYPO had a great finale.  The recording is vintage from the 1960's or so, but there was some real fire in the trumpet's belly.  Also great is Solti/Chicago and it's a very important recording because many brass players were influenced by the Chicago brass tone of that time.

Also, I'm a big believer that one must arrive at The Great Gate through the whole piece, don't just skip to it...that's like starting with desert and ditching the rest of a fine meal...it's a journey!
