They didn't commit the same offence, so there is no reason to think they should be treated the same. He had a point that other navy personnel guilty of the same offence got off easier, but he complicated matters by destroying evidence. I wouldn't disagree that his treatment was rarhet harsh, but what does that have to do with Clinton?

She had classified material on a server not controlled by the government.  She had material that was not even allowed on a system like Special Access Programs which are beyond classified.  Having the Special Access Programs on her server should have been enough to send her to jail.

First Obama, now Clinton. Are you planning to start more of these threads about all American liberal politicians? Are you planning to start any about non-Americans or conservatives? For instance, an Oliver Cromwell: faults and wrong doings thread might be quite popular.

Clinton and Obama threads spinoffs of the Trump threads, where the primary Trump nemesis's have their own arenas.

The "Sound the Trumpets" thread certainly has a majority of posters who think a certain way, but the thread originally was intended (as was the election thread) as a general discussion of the presidency/election...not just "faults and wrong doings".

I think these threads are a joke, more than anything else, with nominal motivation to clear the Trump thread for discussion of Trump.

I was sick of the commonest defence of Trump being no mention of Trump at all, but only "Well Clinton did this" or "Obama did that." So I reckoned there might be an outside chance of the Trump thread mainly being about Trump if the diversionary apologists had two appropriate threads for their listing of Clinton and Obama's faults and wrong doings.
Naively optimistic, I know.

There is reportedly a new Facebook page "Hillary in 2020" . . . since Clinton is not running for office (thank God), the speculation is that this is the work of right-wing trolls trying to keep the Right unified the only way they can be:  whipped-up frenetic hatred of Hillary!

Shrillary said she was quite chuffed never to seek the American presidency, nor any public office again after she was defeated by Obama in the Democratic party primary on two different network's television interviews - and yet - there she was last year running.

She won't stop until someone drives a stake thru her heart.  ::)
