I am going to bed, but before I will post the picture just before I do.

He is an extremely well known composer and a universally loved one on GMG.  The pictures below are not his most famous one, so maybe his name may not pop up at once, although I am not sure.

I recognize him. Italian, a very intriguing composer: Ferruccio Busoni!

Yes indeed and André did recommend to us his chaconne transcription over and over. I bought that disc after his recommendation.
He was a child prodigy born in a music familly.  He performed for Franz Liszt and was influence by Bach contrapunktic style.  Toward the end of his live he explored microtonal music.  He was a promoter of Schoenberg and contemporary music. Although he is best known for his piano music he composed a couple operas Dr Faustus and Turandot.  He lived mostly in germany but spent some time in a number of countries including united states.  He was a renowned professor and wrote several books.

Can you identify this good looking dude ?

Hint: he didn't keep his good looks very long and died at a young age.
I actually knew it is Revueltas immediately, but didn't have time to post. Does that count?  :D
... music is not only an 'entertainment', nor a mere luxury, but a necessity of the spiritual if not of the physical life, an opening of those magic casements through which we can catch a glimpse of that country where ultimate reality will be found.    RVW, 1948

No, it doesn't count, because it's not Revueltas...it's Lorca...LORCA!!!!  >:( >:D

Investigating a bit, this picture appears but once, when one looks for images of Silvestre Revueltas in Google,  in the fourth row of the search results. It takes you to the page: https://www.thefamouspeople.com/profiles/silvestre-revueltas-350.php, which in turn credits it to http://www.theaterjones.com/ntx/reviews/20150522150131/2015-05-22/Fort-Worth-Symphony-Orchestra/Rach-2, a review of a 2015 concert in Fort Worth that featured Sensemayá. (NB: I got to this using my smartphone. If I try to do it from my computer, the alleged "image credit" leads me to a--really hard--porn site  ???  :D).

Surprisingly, in that concert review, that image does not appear, but rather one of Revueltas himself. I imagine at some point, someone had a mix-up, originating from Revuleltas's composition Homenaje a Federico García Lorca.

Sorry guys, but this is an iconic photo of one of Spain's greatest poets and playwrights, so let's clear this confusion once and for all... :)

Well, let's see...

How about this guy?

Hint: He was a baroque composer. He composed some concerti grossi, orchestral suites, sonatas, operas, etc. I don't know any special work by him. He's not as unknown as we can think.

Jean Baptiste Lully/Giovanni Baptista Luli

André

Composed music for Molière plays, like Le Bourgeois gentilhomme. Both men cordially detested each other.

Thank you! My knowledge of Baroque Era composers is quite limited, especially when it comes to what these composers actually look like. :)
