Indeed!  Which clue was decisive, if I may ask?

Your turn, Sir!

The last two pairs of clue: Webern being close to him and him having a hand in Stravinsky's Canticum Sacrum.

I suppose it's my turn: who is this composer?

I'll give a hint I suppose: this composer died in a sanatorium at the age of 55.

A young Szymanowski disguised as a young Ravel?

I think so; Szymanowski was born in what was then Russia, and the sailor´s striped t-shirt was a clue, they still romanticize it a lot in the Russian sphere, and one will see it in earlier Russian/Soviet painting too, for example.

Szymanowski is correct, sir!

The Ravel thing came because of the beret, which looked Basque to me. And  IMHO there is a physical  resemblance between both composers (even if only a faint one). I had read about Szymanowski's death in a sanatorium in Switzerland.

I can't post a picture now, sorry. Perhaps John wishes to submit another entry.

Regards,

Indeed, Rafael. Since I already had a turn. It's someone else's turn now.

Not your turn. You cheated.

So I cheated because the link you provided wasn't a good one at all and revealed who the composer was? All I did was use my eyeballs. ::)

I didn't provide a link but a picture.

Doesn't matter, anyway.

My point was the link to the picture contained the name of the composer and anyone that quoted your post can clearly see who the composer is by the link. Anyway, if it doesn't matter then don't accuse me of cheating and move on! >:(

No clues?

Here's a hint: Apparently, he wasn't well liked by Hitler's regime.
