He resembles RVW as a child...but the clothing seems too modern.

(I removed my first post when I realized the clothing was wrong...but the artifact remains quoted in bwv's post.)

Yes, Brian is narcoleptic

Did not know that.  Wow, I never thought I would get one of these...

But he's born in 1943. How could have he been narcoleptic in 1940?  ;D

Well I goofed the timeline, went back and looked at the book I got the pic from  - he was born in Coventry after the blitz.

But the key thing is the image is not on the internet so you cant reverse search it on Google, like you can with everything else I have seen posted here

Perhaps I have a slight advantage here, being originally a Warwickshire boy myself: Robin Holloway?  (Leamington, if so, not Coventry, but fairly close.)

Indeed.  I tried to find a less recognizable image, but he looks pretty similar even as a younger man.

Yep, very distinctive look.

I suppose it's my turn...who is this composer?

Janis Ivanovs?

Nope.

Bingo!
I like the music of Ivanovs and have all the available symphonies on CD.

Hurrah! It's my turn  :)

If I can make it appear I'll use an image of the composer whose photo I submitted erroneously having not bothered to read the rules of this game  ::) (don't think it's that difficult but let me know if you need a clue):

I'm looking for the name of the composer and not the cat.
