Hello

I'm a new member from New England. I was linked to the Sofronitsky discussion by George P on another forum. I'm a mostly exclusively classical and jazz listener and for the most part most of my listening is from music composed after the baroque era. I live near the BSO and NYPO and try and get to them as often as time permits. I am also a hifi fan/audiophile though more of the objective type.

Looking forward to participating in some discussions.

Hi, staxomega, and welcome -- sounds like you are not too far from those of us in NYC! In any case, have a good time here.

Roughly 4.5 hours from NH, though I am often in New Haven CT and it's much closer from there.

Thank you! Brahms, Beethoven, Scriabin, Tchaikovsky, Saint-Saens, Bruckner, Rachmaninov, Chopin would all be up there in what I heavily listen to.

A quite distinguished list of composers you listen to. I admire them all.
