Welcome, Phaedrus!
I'm also a huge Mahler fan, he's my favorite composer, so i guess that means we're cool.  8)

Thanks once again for the warm welcome. I've been out for three weeks.

Christo, thanks for your kind reply: I really enjoy Jurriaan Andriessen en Sandstroem, but I guess that their true craftmanship shines through once you start rehearsing and studying their music.

Andriessen's "Respiration Suite" in particular sounds effortless when performed by pro's (like the Academy of St. Martin in the Fields wind players) but it has you sitting on the edge of your seat from beginning to the end when playing it yourself (at least an amateur like me).

Any opinion on Raff's music?

Cheers,

Phaedrus
