Let me say that you're in for a real treat. All of his 6 symphonies are just stupendous, a total display of energy, being the highlights Nos. 3-6. He's firmly among my favorite symphonists ever. And you could like his concertos and other orchestral music as well.

+1 I don't know a single bad or even mediocre piece by Nielsen. A fantastic all-around composer!
