Dear all,

I'm a classical pianist living in NYC.
I teach a few classes at the Manhattan School of Music, where I am working on my doctorate degree in piano.
I've earned my Masters in Piano at Juilliard where I studied with Lowenthal and Raekallio - and Bachelors of Music at Mannes where I studied with Jerome Rose.

Please take a look at my new youtube channel and perhaps subscribe if you like what you hear, as new content will be added regularly.

Liszt Transcendental Etude No 8 from a recent recording session:

All my recordings are unedited.
All the best,
M.K.

I would extend a welcome, but I'm afraid your purpose here appears to be entirely for self-promotion or am I wrong? What do you say mods?

Warmest welcome, mkaykov! Most of us, with some notable exceptions, can only play our CDs, let alone a Liszt etude.

I usually play FLAC files now, heh  ;)

From a person whose only musical accomplishment after eight years of futile piano lessons is that I can put a bassoon together, self-promote away  ;)

That is not very welcoming. What better way to introduce yourself other than to show your skills and innate knowledge through performance?
I extend my welcome as a new member too

Welcome Michael and Mark -- much to explore here, and hope you have a good time doing it. Also, we do have a number of people here who play -- amateurs, professionals, and semi-professionals -- so you'll be in good company.
