Ah, the old 'don't be an arsehole' -. a nice sentiment indeed. And it's all laid out, just like a self help book that promises if rules are followed then happiness is guaranteed. Here's an addition for the list -

8. Don't harbour an anti-Semite.

It is clear from having read most of what people have written here over the years, especially those who complain about unattractiveness, that their level of physical attraction is not their biggest issue. So it is fair to say advice like that is warranted. Smug? Maybe, but I prefer to call it self-confidence. You might be surprised at how far that will carry you and change people's perception of you. If you act confidently (without being a pompous ass) and live up to it, you'll more than get by.

If I did what to anti-Semites then? Get a grip, mate, half the world is anti-Semite. Best I can do is not be one myself. I'm also not anti-Muslim. Sometimes that's hard to reconcile. But I don't do other people's thinking for them, so they have to live with their own choices.

Then people wouldn't have left a forum that's already struggling. And no, you should get a grip and learn to leave your ego at the door when you put your admin hat on. You're an enabler, nothing more.

e: and you can add his racism into one of your lists of what you deem acceptable. There's never any excuse for that at any time or place - and especially not at the whim of an admin who plays censor.

That's not fair. A lot of pre-2.0 forums are struggling. The competition for attention from newer digital platforms is intense. Youtube and Reddit are eating up all the would be new subscribers.

I honestly didn't think I'd be inviting advice of this nature when I made this thread but all I wanted to do was make the point that good looks are an asset beyond relationships, and this seems to be really under-discussed in society, almost at the level of being taboo. Too bad. Too f--king bad. And life isn't fair either.

I'm well aware this platform is in decline. Even 4chan is mostly /pol/ and /v/ with most of the other boards slowly withering.
If new members could join this forum some of the exchanges that are allowed to run on and on - most recently in the 'GMG News' sub - would probably turn them off. An absentee landlord coupled with janitors who selectively enforce forum rules is an unhealthy combo for any community.

If you want to continue to discuss hating attractive people I'll post on topic. I've said all I want to on this derail.
