I hope the question is clear enough. What percentage of your classical music listening is at live performances as opposed to recordings?

I chose 60%, a rough estimate.  During the regular concert season, I sometimes go to 3-4 a week.  It definitely affects my listening at home, too, since after a good live performance I sometimes don't want to hear anything for awhile.

Less than 10% honestly... the performance season here in Austin is short, so other than 8 shows at the symphony, a few specials, and several weeks of live performances at a park Sundays during summers (not always classical), there are not a lot of other opportunities--though I have not fully explored other offerings in the area for chamber music and recitals; I imagine there are quite a few with a major US university and several other college and university campuses in the city.

Opera is my favorite, and the Austin Lyric Opera only has a three show season. My wife is not a big fan of classical and opera, so I cannot convince her to visit venues in Houston or Dallas/Ft. Worth or even to see many of the shows here in town. Though she has allowed for one weekend in Houston this year. Now I just have to decide which Opera I would like to see.  ;)

I listen daily to recordings, so it is really no contest.

I like live music best, but it's still around 10%. I listen to recordings probably about two hours a day, and on average I go to a concert a bit less than once a week.

It's not.

Define "classical"
Define "listening"
Define "live"

Now that I'm temporarily without an orchestra to play in, it's about 40% or a little less.  (I'm still in a chamber group, and I'm also preparing for a solo recital, so that's quite a bit of listening right there. ;) ) Last year during the orchestra season, it was closer to 60%. :D

Well, I listen to recordings all the time when I'm at my house.
I don't go to that many concerts. Maybe 8-10 symphonic concerts in my home town each season, plus 3-4 when I'm travelling domestically and internationally. I also go to 4-5 recitals/chamber concerts.
This summer I visited several European cities and went to alot of concerts, it was great.  And it costed very little money.
I would say 10-20% of my listening is live. Probably closer to 10 than 20.

Currently, a hell of a lot is live. It's the middle of the Festival and as I'm acutely aware that this is probably my last year in Edinburgh, I'm going to concerts with a decadent abandon 8). Some days, I go to a chamber concert mid-morning and a larger scale one in the evening.

But ordinarily, maybe once or twice a week.
