IMO Blu-Ray technology is more capable of accurate rendering of musical events than any other technology, particularly when multi-channel .

Tell us your favorites. I'll start with this one, great playing and recording in a venue new to me:

Here's another one. il barbiere di siviglia, Rossini's great opera buffa. The Teatro real's production with the Madrid Symphony Orchestra is very well played, acted, and sung. Ruggiero Raimondi's aria in praise of calumny is simply as outstanding as it is delightful. The few 'modern' touches in thne staging were not bothersome. Decca's production is technically very fine.

Evidently this topic has elicited very little interest. Perhaps someone could tell me where to look beyond sa-cd.net for reviews or recommendations of Blu-Rays with excellent sound quality and musical value.
