Symphonic Addict

I came to think of Hans Bronsart von Schellendorf when I listened to his great Piano Concerto. If his name is not elegant, then I don't know what is.
The current annihilation of a people on this planet (you know which one it is) is the most documented and at the same time the most preposterously denied.

When anyone mentions Kalevi Aho I'm tempted to say "bless you". :)
You must have a very good opinion of yourself to write a symphony - John Ireland.

I opened the door people rushed through and I was left holding the knob - Bo Diddley.

Not a composer but possibly the coolest name in the whole history of art:

Pablo Diego José Francisco de Paula Juan Nepomuceno María de los Remedios Cipriano de la Santísima Trinidad Ruiz y Picasso

Aho means "meadow, glade", a place that can certainly give you seasonal allergies...  ;D ;)
Spatial distortion is a serious problem deteriorating headphone listening.
Crossfeeders reduce spatial distortion and make the sound more natural
and less tiresome in headphone listening.

... music is not only an 'entertainment', nor a mere luxury, but a necessity of the spiritual if not of the physical life, an opening of those magic casements through which we can catch a glimpse of that country where ultimate reality will be found.    RVW, 1948

Edison Denisov. I like that all the letters of the first name are reshuffled in the surname.

Ten thumbs

Ludwig-Wilhelm Tepper von Ferguson has always intrigued me.
A day may be a destiny; for life
Lives in but little—but that little teems
With some one chance, the balance of all time:
A look—a word—and we are wholly changed.

So annoying that his parents didn't think to name him Vedison.

Apologies if this is a misuse of your forum. I have an old unused post card of a man sitting at an upright piano in front of a seated audience in what looks like a field. I bought the card because it has "Newbury Berkshire" (my home town) in pencil on the reverse and I told myself I was going to find out who it was. It could, of course, be anyone from famous composer to local amateur.....If you have any (polite!) suggestions as to who it might be please post. Many thanks

For me, this is one of the coolest names for any composer: Rodion Shchedrin (Rodion Ščedrin).

Yes although it's taken me years to work out how to spell it.

Roasted Swan

I have some 20's piano sheet music of a fox-trot "Dancing Fool" by Sascha Chwat.  I've often wondered if this was a pseudonym!
