I have indeed, you showed it to me last year. I would like to get it on CD.

Well,I forgot that one but it is a very good one and his third symphony also on Decca and the Wiener Philharmoniker.
I used to love the symphonies 7& 8 on DG but is is too long ago to say something sensible about it after such a long time, maybe more than twenty years that I have listened to it. :o time flies... ;D

That's a fine performance!
I agree. I especially like the 'Nottingham' Symphony (No.2) and prefer the performance, especially the inspiriting ending, to the version on Dutton.

Bostonian Elise Hall never played these concertos, and the score of nr. 1 (1902/with symphony orchestra)resurfaced in the south of France only in 2017...
Sweet, elegant music. Very well played by Kurt Bertels and the Flanders SO.

Inspired by another thread, I pulled out this BBC MM CD:

Listened to Beethoven's Sonatas No. 23 and 26. I particularly enjoyed No. 26 (Les Adieux).  Those were recorded at the Royal Festival Hall in June of 1985.  I'll play Schumann's Carnaval a bit later (which was recorded in London (somewhere!) on 19 June 1961.

Graupner, Christoph - Overtures, Sinfonias, & Others w/ Siegbert Rampe and Nova Stravaganza on period instruments - these were some of the first Graupner discs in my collection and still enjoy greatly; reviews attached for those interested! - Dave :)

Sounds good so far, but I don't think I'll listen to the whole set in one single sitting (two hours worth of circus music in one go seems excessive  ::)  ;)).

Pohjolas Daughter

Visited the Carnival (see above); not so keen on his recording of that one...have other ones that I prefer.
