Well here I review album I like, find great all in all 10/10
or 10/10+ .

A ten  is mandatory listen a ten plus out of ten mean buy it whit a blindfold on.The following album is a 10/10 decent & fair play , this mean crucial listening.

Were do I start this trend whit La Morra Ensemble 2005 release called: Dame de Deuil- musical offerings of for Marguerite of Austria (1480-1530).Under direction of Marti Gondko and Corina Marti.

very good song's, pleasant voice good production all in all a great album. La Morra not my favorite ensemble not my lesser either, but all I can tell this album real really good, you're looking for Chanson genre, you can't go wrong whit this one. Believe me when I tell you, my word is money in the bank there will be more to follow if tread last or global response...

Thanks folks

Let's stay on the Chanson genre, but in LP media: Music from the court of Burgundy, excellent album of NON-SUCH brewed in thee 70'', whit works of Grenon, Fontaine, Binchois, Dufay, Mureau, Busnois, Morton, Ghizeghem.

Vocal and instrumental Ensemble Under the direction of  Roger Blanchard whit Pierre Poultreau Recorder Trio.

That one of my favorite in Chanson Genre.

This is an exceptional CD which I wasn't aware of, thanks for drawing my attention to it.

This unfortunately has never been transferred. I'm not always so keen on the singers he uses, but I'd be very pleased to hear this.

This was one of my first LPs of this repertoire.  A great introduction even if I - like Mandryka - am not that keen on a few of the singers (the countertenor in Busnois' In Hydraulis and the alto in Grenon's La plus belle).
Reality trumps our fantasy far beyond imagination.

#9
Huelgas Ensemble obscure title, I have many, but ''La Poésia cromatica'' is one of these CD's wow,  pretty Italian music, top notch, perform by Huelgas Ensemble, this screaming a lot a mandatory listen don't you think?

Beside there are Missa le mystère de malheur me bat, Padovano , Le chant de la Virgile ,Demantius, Firminus Carron, Lamentationes from renaissance,

Mandryka

Rossi's a bit too chromatic for my present mood  -  I hope you have tried the new Pietro Vinci CD, which is chromatic, but not so hard core
