Ars subtilior because the Chantilly Codex and Ciconia.

Post-Romantic because Mahler.

Impressionism due to Debussy.

Expressionism for Schoenberg and Webern.

"Contemporary" for post-1945 high modernism (Boulez, Stockhausen, Nono, Ligeti et al) their musical progeny (e.g. George Benjamin) and Feldman.
