 :)

Now forgive me for starting this tread, but what  put De Sayve music one step beyond is the casual facts, his music is stock in limbo between late renaissance Flemish polyphony and early Baroque, is either one or the other, the polyphony is made in 17th century state of the art music gems.

While is sound has blue print of  what come after his Baroque for: ornements music and refined sounds, pattern, multiple layers of instrumental & vocal complexity , this rank him high, to me, the only composer  of this era  mentioning is Gery de Ghersem(witch we have so little) and Phillipe Rogier( a great great master.

To come back to De Sayve I have five release one on Supraphon(an old one) one on Ricercare, tree on Linn, I cherish quite awesome perfect rendition, excellent production, super audio CD or quality recording regardless of format.
