This DaCapo recording of the complete score to The Mother is available in several download formats. 16bitFLAC, which is what I chose, was less than 11 USD.

I'm posting this to let you know that when you select "Download Album" it gives you each track one at a time, oddly, but does not offer you all of the tracks. I had to download tracks two, three, and fourteen separately, so so long as you keep track....

I've not listened to the whole thing yet. It's Nielsen, so it's probably OK. (The second track is Saga Drøm, taken rather slowly but it seems to work all right at that speed.)

A couple of other bits are known, too. The complete incidental music wasn't discovered (if that is the right word*) until 2007.

The sound is typical DaCapo, so that's OK, too.

*The liner notes say that the complete music was not printed until 2007, so I guess it was known, just in manuscript.

If you are a completist, you will want to have this.

If you don't like singing, you might not like this.

It's a mixed bag, but well worth the not quite 11 USD.

Thanks for this.  I'm not a "completist" as such, but the chance to hear some unknown Nielsen is very tempting - especially at the £7.99 for which it is selling on Qobuz Europe.

You're welcome.

It was released in June, and I found out about by accident, so I thought it might be nice to mention it to this group.

I've listened to it several times since I bought it. It is well worth the £7.99 price tag.
