Where did the recording come from?
Any background info at all?

I find it doesn't really sound 'classical' at all to me, but more of a pop-music style.  Shrugs.  :-\
(Bruckner's) is the career of a poor village boy ... The one and only really surprising thing about him was that after completing his career as an organist he suddenly began to compose music with a range of vision which in such a man would appear quite incongruous.

That's my impression aswell. It could be made for a documentary or a commercial.

That's hardly very pop either. More likely film/tv score music.

Yes it's not classical and most likely from a movie
