Sometimes it takes random stuff like my picture to lead to insights, so good to see when it has even more utility than fun alone.

I've found more meaning in random stuff since I started to pay attention. Science doesn't deal with meaning, subjectivity and non-repeatable experiments but I think it's also against the scientific attitude to ignore your own experience even if you can't explain it.

This was on the front of a Myaskovsky CD and is called:
'Oak Tree Splintered by Lightning. Allegory on the Artist's Wife's Death' by M. Vorobiev (1842).
I think it's an extraordinary painting:
