Right click on stuff (images) you don't like and click on AdBlockPlus: Block image... . The web looks a lot cleaner with this add-on.

works for pictures. Some are Flash images or something, though...

You're welcome. :) For Flash: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/722

There is an add-on that is specifically used to block Flash, but with NoScript you can block other nasties as well. Remember to add YouTube to your white-list. ;)
