The 33-year leader of Tafelmusik has died of cancer.

She leaves an enormous recorded legacy with Tafelmusik, and recently left the orchestra itself in the hands of a successor, Elisa Citterio. (Yes, Tafelmusik has been led by women for 40 years - sadly still a remarkable exception in today's musical landscape.)
