End to end stuff really. Collingwood has the slicker passing game of the two but Geelong has been more realistic in converting their chances to goals. Great tense opening game.

I wouldn't say their conversions are realistic. 16-1 is in the realm of fantasy!

This game is unreal....

Shame for Howe though, that arm break is horrible. A sickening injury on an otherwise fantastic footy game...

Yes. Well, to be fair when I was commenting on the 16-1 I was also thinking about how Collingwood was already scoring more often, and Collingwood's ratio wasn't BAD.  So I did wonder whether Collingwood's scoring rate would eventually win out.

I tell you what though: I think BOTH of these teams are going to be pretty scary for the rest of the competition if they score like this.

2 of the top 5 attendances of all time, they said!!

That timeline shows (again!) it's never over, isn't it? Geelong on top for 3 quarters and Collingwood running with it in Q4. the Pies were brilliant in their build up and passing and they were running rings around us in Q4. Credit to them.

Not the result hoped for but what a brilliant game.
