Thank you Holden.

Not only Cameron, but based on the report I read, having Lachie Neale coming on a sub was a massive boost for them to get their hands on the Flag too.

I may try and watch the game on catch up later on this week.

(summer interlude while they use our pitches for secondary sports) :D

Slowly catching up to the night's events...

172 is not bad for a full day at the crease...

Uh..what? What do you mean it was only a one and a half session.

I can see the headlines tomorrow with a picture of a disheartened Stokes..:

BAZBOWLED !!!

Do we need to bring that sandpaper thingy up again?  :P  :P

Now for the Australian innings..

Oooh Stevie boy now..

That'll piss him off enough to score a 200;in the 2nd innings..

In the meantime he is off to the dressing room for a little cry  >:D

I am so neutral I'll get both some chocolate digestives and some Tim Tams on the weekend

Jeez Khajawa for 2...

Or just because you live upside down, 4 for 31  :blank:

I tease, I tease, but I saw Australia retain the Ashes on the last day in Old Trafford (in 2019 I think). I was in the Party stand so the banter was strong and loud all day.

The one thing TV does not convey is the sheer speed, power and technic of fast bowlers like Starc, Hazelwood and Cummins. We were slap bang sideways to the crease so you could appreciate the run ups and all. A thing of beauty.

Followed by a very subdued walk out of the grounds

4 for 53.

9 for 121... ;D  ;D

172 doesn't seem too bad after all  :P

The posts I liked were either amusing or related to AFL. Not to that summer sport that I only realised today was STARTING today. I was only vaguely aware that there was a low score because of one obscure remark by a Facebook friend. My level of interest is extremely low, especially today. Possibly I'll care more in the peak of summer holidays, but not by much.

EDIT: I've just looked at the scoreboard, and 19 wickets falling on a single day would at least be interesting. It's traditional for the visiting team to collapse in Perth. Australia not so much.
Nobody has to apologise for using their brain.

Fair enough, I'll keep quiet on the cricket front  ;)

This year they've even been nice enough to put the Prime Minister's XI match on the weekend, so that I don't have to remember to avoid the ground on my drive home from work.

(Manuka Oval is close enough to my office that, if I wanted to go there for an event, I would have the benefit of my own parking spot.)

Has the curator at the venue overcooked the pitch? It won't be the first time this has happened in Perth. The next two innings will be interesting.
Cheers

I guess Travis Head had personal commitments for tomorrow  :P

Anyway, that draft... Good, uh...
