little elegy for piano
« on: April 12, 2021, 01:57:32 PM »
In the last days I was working on this little elegy for piano in a-minor. It starts rather sad, has some eruptions in the middle but resolves peacefully towards the end as a variation of the beginning theme in A-Major.

Surprised that this has received no replies... very nice, Gerd! My first thought was that the transition to A major was too abrupt, but since you return briefly to the earlier, more passionate material, I withdraw that objection. A simple, and hauntingly beautiful miniature. Thank you for sharing it.
