Quote from: George on August 27, 2007, 07:00:23 AMWhat's mpc format? I have Toast now as another option to burn CDs.

mpc is Musepack audio... another lossy compression codec like mp3 and AAC.

If your player/burner does not support .mpc files, you may need to find a coverter. On Windows machines, dBpoweramp can convert .mpc to other lossy codecs, but I am not sure what your options on OS X are.

I had not really considered that as I do not tend to burn anything to disc... I just pop them on my iPod. There are probably any number of freeware audio manipulators that allow you to cut tracks down to size. I Googled mp3 splitter and a few things came up. It would probably be a good idea for this file too as after the first movement, there is a long sequence of coughing and shuffling about.... and it would shave off about two minutes of dead time. I am going to give it a whirl, I will upload it in four tracks in a few minutes if I get good results.

OK, here they are, I hope to have them on both Rapidshare and Yousendit so you can pick whichever works best for you:

The Mad Hatter

Aaw...I just came online for the first time in months, and was hoping there'd be some new covers here for the music I just downloaded...

Oh well. Hopefully I'll have one done for that violin partita before I come on next time.

12tone.

Just did this now...

Thoughts?

If it's Richter, I need it.  ;D

FWIW, I don't have the Orfeo release of Richter in Salzberg.

Somewhat embarassing for me to notice (and reply to) this after half a year, but I do have the Orfeo release of Richter in Salzburg! :D

(I also need to get to uploading some samples of various things I've been asked for, but I'll be out of the country for a week or so. ::))

Digression over, hopefully. ;)
