After 47 years, and countless great performances and recordings, the Emerson String Quartet is calling it a day.

Thanks, news to me. Salutations on a tremendous run.
I think it's better for the Emersons to go out like this than to carry on after wholesale personnel changes.

I never have been a huge fan of the Emersons, but, yes, quite a successive career they’ve had in this music for sure.
