The only composer I can think of with any connection to South Africa is John Joubert (1927-2019), who was born in Cape Town but spent most of his life in the UK and is usually considered a British composer. I haven't heard much of his music, though I very much enjoy his 1st symphony and cello concerto which I have on these CDs:

Rinaldo

Mzilikazi Khumalo, composer of the first Zulu opera, had some wonderful tunes under his belt.

I'm not very familiar with Michael Blake but the stuff I've heard wasn't uninteresting.

Your skronkness might also enjoy recent stuff by Mira Calix – she uses a lot of classical instrumentation in her jazzy "sound sculptures".

There are these two CDs:
"Courage is going from failure to failure without losing enthusiasm" (Churchill).

'The test of a work of art is, in the end, our affection for it, not our ability to explain why it is good' (Stanley Kubrick).
