OK, so how the hell does one use cue files? I have a large ape file on my computer of a CD and a cue file. I think that cue files have track length information and make it possible to divide the one long track in the right places when burning it to CD. Thing is - I have no idea how to use cue files in conjuction with ape files (also have another CD which is a winamp media file with a cue file). I want to create an audio CD

Searching the internet has proved to be very frustrating in deed - I can't find anywhere that gives a step by step guide of what to do. Could someone either explain to me how to do it, or give me a link to a step by step guide? I'm going crazy here!

I think in EAC all you have to do is open the cue sheet in the disc burning module (don't know the English name - I use a Polish translation of the program). The cue file probably has to be in the same directory as the sound file too.

In Nero (and the like) use the "burn disc from image" function - select the cue file as the image file. At least that's how I think it works... ;D

you need this:
http://www.medieval.it/content/view/28/70/

once you installed the latest version of this program. Simply open the .cue files with this program, and on the program you should see the individual tracks (tagged or not), then, simply push "split!" button, and the process will begin. After a while (it does take a fairly long time), if you chose to split the files into the directory of the original file, the individual tracks (be it APE or Flac) would be within the folder that includes the original file. IF NOT, you should go to "file" - "Configuration" and Check the square that says "same directory as source" or wherever you prefer to save to.

and a handy little tip, you can also open the cue files with the "Notepad" application, and you can edit information regarding to the music you are splitting before you split them, this is very handy, since it is much easier to edit a notepad file than X numbers of filenames.
