I listen to a lot of radio classical music and enjoy especially vocal music. I have noticed over the last several years Paul Robeson has seemed to have fallen into disfavor. I do not believe I have heard airplay by him. He was a great American Baritone of Opera, Folk and Popular song. Old Man River, Shenandoah, Going home, Deep River, Joe Hill are just some of what I consider  top rated American Baritone singing. Do others miss his airplay?

We used to have Old Man River as a 78 - my mother's record - and he has a wonderful voice, but I am not surprised that he doesn't feature as much nowadays. Many of his songs can be seen as promoting black stereotypes.

There's an interesting article on Robeson here: https://www.criticsatlarge.ca/2015/02/ol-man-river-song-drama-and-life.html
