Ah yes, Arte Nova.  Micheal Gielen recorded some discs for them.

This Carter disc is nice. 



His Zemlinsky is supposed to be good, but I've never heard it.

Those 3 Ravel discs are really excellent - and in very good analogue sound as well.  Minnesota were a good band then as well.  His Stravinsky is also very fine - but not easy to find these days at a reasonable price.

I only know 2 sets- vols 1 and 2. Will look for the Stravinsky and the Mozart.

I like his Beethoven. He did record for Philips, though.

And Skrowaczewski did some fine stuff for Oehms.

The Zemlinsky Lyric Symphony (+ Berg) is very good; I also have the Carter but don't know that music well enough to tell... There were a few more Gielen (SouthWest German radio) on Arte Nova, e.g. Mozart 39 + Schubert Rosamunde.
And of course Zinman's Beethoven. Another good one is Sieghart/Bruckner orchestra Linz with Mozart's 25 and 36 (and one of Leopold's), also his "Entführung" is pretty good.
However, overall I think piano and chamber music might have been the stronger part of the earlyish (late 1990s) Arte Nova period (Perl, Piazzini, Schiefen, Manno, several ensembles).

Indeed, I got to know the work in this recording (on Philips LPs) and still rank it very highly.

Arturo Tamayo, who's offered us loads of very interesting but relatively obscure repertoire on many labels, surely deserves mention here. His Maderna series on Neos and the complete Petrassi Concertos for Orchestra on Stradivarius stand out, but he's also done Auric and Bussotti on Timpani, a superb Ginastera disc on Capriccio, etc.

And then there's Manuel Rosenthal (his Ravel and Debussy on Adès are too-notch) and Ernest Bour; his sets on Astrée —4 CDs each— devoted to i) the Second Viennese School & Bartók, and ii) Debussy, Ravel, Stravinsky & Roussel, are extraordinarily good.
