Against his wishes, our man watches Jn Carpenter's The Thing. Hell, even his preamble is entertaining.

He is most assuredly memorable.

Sometime today l will try to post links for my favorite reactors ( an idea l'm still getting used to ).

As semi-promised, here are links to some of the reactors I've found to be worthwhile:

https://www.youtube.com/c/PopcornInBed/videos ( Always my first destination, and it doesn't take a lot of time with " Cassie " to understand why. )

https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCEUgkAhSWYqG2IWvFXcJpgg/videos ( One of the first channels I encountered, this young man's positive energy is consistently entertaining. )

https://www.youtube.com/c/MovieswithMary/videos ( " Mary " lives in Belgium, and is rather charmingly dorky. My kind of gal, if forty years too late... )

https://www.youtube.com/c/CineBingeReact/videos ( A Canadian couple, who compliment each other pretty well in this sort of activity. )

https://www.youtube.com/c/JustSUMMReactions/videos ( An American couple, who seem fairly nice and are probably loyal Wal-Mart customers. )

https://www.youtube.com/c/BaddMedicine/videos ( Three friends who certainly enjoy reacting. )

https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC4RsZQih4mANoSKvpuBekAQ/videos ( A rather direct young lady who has LOTS of opinions, but still is not off-putting. )

Also our friend with the dogs , who Karl linked earlier.

Cassie of Popcorn In Bed is indeed lovely, but lately I have watched less her reactions. I'm interested of reactions to movies that are important for me (and have seen! Especially newer movies rarely interests me.) Her 10 latest reaction are for movies:

Interview With a Vampire
The Crow
Sleepy Hollow
Tremors
Amadeus
28 days later
Christine
Young Frankenstein
Frankenstein
Shaun of the Dead

Of those I have seen Amadeus, 28 days later, Christine and parts of Tremors and Shaun of the Dead. None of these movies are important for me. I did watch her reaction to Christine.

I choose according to the movies rather than the reactor. I have enjoyed lately the reactions of Thor Reacts to Steven Spielberg movies. I also like horror movie (Shining, Conjuring, Annabelle, Insidious,...) reactions (She's Scared, The Homies, Trixy Blue etc.) I watch reactions on dozens of channels. If I watch one reaction to Spielberg's Jaws or Jurassic Park, Youtube recommends me many other reactions to these movies...

Just a few updates...

At " Popcorn in Bed ", Cassie has convinced her sister, Carly, to watch Peter Jackson's The Lord of the Rings for the first time:

https://youtu.be/OjSQknw8wXs

At EOM, our man and his doughty dogs has uploaded his reaction to The Terminator:

https://youtu.be/mvA8v6dgoeA

James has reacted to my favorite film...

And, a while back, to The Lighthouse from 2019, which l've not yet seen in its entirety but seems to be extraordinary:

Finally, we have Ashliegh reacting to Richard Donner's Superman:

I'm more into music reactions, though I have several movie reactions on my watch later list.

Of music reactions, Jamel_AKA_Jamal is king. Music reactions are a dime a dozen, but he's so clearly genuine and charismatic.

Since Karl is watching ( or just watched ) one of Kubrick's more infamous films and since l apparently skipped this channel by accident, here are TBR Schmitt with A Clockwork Orange:

They're pretty laid back. They don't try to be hilarious or especially witty, and come across as an honest couple.

Apparently the lady is an engineer, they just did Apollo 13 recently and she made some astute observations while watching for the first time.

Reaction videos have changed. Before (a year or so ago) people reacted a lot to the "big" movies from the past a few decades ago, but nowadays they react to TV-series, children animations and 5 penny comedies. The "watching for the first time" idea has changed. I started watching these reactions because to me it was interesting to see what a person who has never seen STAR WARS says about it. Not only because I am a Star Wars fan, but also because the status and impact it has in popular culture. I am not interested of watching someone go through Buffy the vampire killer TV series for the first time, or the children's animation "The Secret Life of Pets 2" from 2019. People react to ANYTHING now and all I can say is who cares? I was very interested of what Thor the friendly God thinks about Spielberg's movies, but I am not interested of what he thinks about "How the Grinch Stole the Christmas".

I've hit some music reactions in which they are 'reacting' to music they know well.

If it were somebody who had expert knowledge on the music, fine. It shouldn't be called a 'reaction' video in that case, but those analysis videos can be very good. But somebody just saying, 'I like this song. Listen to be voice. Note here comes a piano solo...' What's the point?

What's the point of cat videos? You like to watch them or then you don't. I have TONS and TONS of other stuff to watch on Youtube. The World changes. Youtube changes with it. Five years ago Youtube videos weren't sponsored by VPN companies and Youtubers didn't beg watchers to join their Patrion. Somehow they were able to earn a living without. Nowadays all they do is whine about how little their videos make money.

Doesn't everyone do that, but channels/content creators that have interested in the past may become uninteresting when the content changes. For example Jake Verda ruined his Fakejake channel for me by becoming a producer and hiring other people to perform in his videos. It was HIS manerism and HIS voice that made the content gold for me. Without it I don't care about it. Jacklyn Glenn made interesting videos many years ago about losing her faith and becoming an atheist + talking about religion and atheism, but then she started to make completely different videos were she rants about various online feuds while drinking red wine and unboxing/marketing sex toys. Sorry, not interested.  :(
