I could probably write several paragraphs regarding Cassie's latest upload, but that endeavor would fail to do her reaction justice.

A Monster Calls was completely unfamiliar to me, but the fact that it attracted such a strong cast ( who deliver equally strong performances ) is a rather obvious hint that I should have perhaps paid better attention in 2016. Despite the rather obvious influences from recently preceding feature films, this movie impresses with a distinct identity and a type of emotional tone I've only encountered once before, in 1988's Paperhouse.

In her outro, Cassie delivers an explanation for her unusually intense reaction.

A new channel for me, but he's actually been reacting for ten years.

After watching this and scanning his channel, the thought occurred to me: How could someone have been reacting to whatever for ten years, and not covered Jackson's LotR trilogy before now?

And yet, the new reaction seems genuine. Was he simply avoiding fantasy because he thought it wasn't " cool " ? Young people are, after all, frequently misguided in their perceptions and opinions, simply because their input frequently comes from peers who are similarly handicapped.

I think his reaction to Fellowship is genuine, but you be the judge.
