Quote from: Mandryka on November 25, 2022, 11:35:09 AMCan I alert people with an @ ? I thought I saw a way yesterday but I don't see it now!

@Mandryka

Just type the @ character and type the first few letters of the member you want to tag. A list of members appears and you choose the one you want.

Thanks Rob - just came on for the afternoon and I now have the 'Silver Subscriber' badges showing - thanks.  Dave :)

@Dungeon Master that's what I thought happened before -- but now I don't get the list.

@Mandryka  @Que

No!

(But I can see an alert saying that you mentioned me.)

FWIW, that isn't my experience (maybe I'm doing it wrong...)

Florestan

I have to say it: despite my initial reservation, the new version is definitely better than the older one. Thank you, Rob, for your effort and dedication --- and now that I think of it, why is it that you never take part in the talks? Are you more into operating and maintaining a classical music forum than into classical music itself? Inquiring minds want to know.  ;D

Quote from: Gurn Blanston on November 25, 2022, 05:40:53 AMI seem to recall you use your phone.  When I use my tablet if I have it in portrait mode it shows little more than your name.  If I turn it in landscape mode it looks just like it does on my computer, including all profile information.

🤠

Nope, not getting that when I turn my phone, and I don't think I had it on my computer either... will go and check that again.

Yeah,  that's what I see too. I probably ought to look on my phone...  :-\

Okay, I'm seeing all of that on the computer. I guess the phone just doesn't have enough real estate to include everything, which is fair enough.

I vary as to which one I use more. I suspect I've used the phone a lot more in the last few days because I browse while camped in front of the television if the soccer isn't totally gripping...

Florestan, I suspect that he's busy living his life like all of us.  Maybe has less time/inclinations to spend it online (which is totally fair and natural).  He's gone to a lot of efforts (and at personal expense) to create a forum (and maintain) for classical music lovers....including recs (like suggestions), a children's thread and so much more.  I suspect that his life is busy and he's been really kind to keep this forum alive.  And, yes, he does love classical music; I have no doubt of that.

Best,

PD

I think he is an avid reader of the board even if not replying regularly, also.

Message board software still receiving updates in 2022!  Wow!  And I see that we now can use two factor authentication if we so desire.

Oh man the listening thread loads so fast now with images immediately popping in!  And posting is also way faster.  Everything is just refreshingly swift.

Same here. I think right now, only Rob can "like" a post.

"Likes" and "@mentions" should be working for all now. Let me know yay or nay.
