Treat yourself to Tolhurst's "Ruth" (1864) this Christmas: described as "The World's Worst Oratorio" (see Percy Scholes' "The Mirror of Music", 1947, pp.95-97) here it is edited and orchestrated by Antony Hopkins (1921-2014) and conducted by him in a 1973 "revival"...
