In memoriam Tacchino

Gabriel tacchino

I have fond memories of this French pianist, especially his recording of Poulenc's solo piano works.

Oh how sad. I have also enjoyed his Poulenc.

"I set down a beautiful chord on paper—and suddenly it rusts."
—Alfred Schnittke (1934-1998)

The last word.
You must have a very good opinion of yourself to write a symphony - John Ireland.

I opened the door people rushed through and I was left holding the knob - Bo Diddley.

If I'm not mistaken Tacchino was the first pianist to record Poulencs pianoconcerto.
