Listening to a live 2005 performance of Ligeti's Atmosphères, in honor of Christoph von Dohnányi, who died yesterday in Munich.

From 1965, a real find from the WDR Sinfonieorchester archives, von Dohnányi in Britten's The Young Person's Guide to the Orchestra. Speaking of young persons, it gave me a smile to see him with dark hair, since when I first encountered him it was already white.
