My son is a gifted acoustic guitar player. About 2 years ago he started composing for piano and orchestra. His latest piece is called "Pendulum Fantasie" for a string ensemble. I think its very good, but then I'm a little biased. Please check it out at John's Myspace site and let me know what you think. thx - CW

It's repetitious. He needs to explore the piece and get away from the same chord progression and try to add new tunes and rhythms.

I like all the tracks on the myspace site. Yes, they are quite repetitive and could benefit from some more development, but I can't recall hearing anything quite those pieces before. I like the style of electro-acoustic elements that you use, much more than how most actual electro-acoustic-composers employ it. Yours are original and very rhythmic pieces.

Try varying the time signature throughout and maybe add some poly-rhythms every now and then. That would add so much more to it, IMO.

Well done   ;)
