Quote from: Herman on October 11, 2023, 11:38:55 AMThe Man From U.N.C.L.E. had this uniquely irritating earworm theme music, with those tiny bongos. As I remember the show there was an endless series of suspicious looking girls who took off some clothes to reveal their slip dress. I use the word 'girl' advisedly. That's what unmarried women were called back then,

Out of curiosity I looked up the theme... wish I hadn't.  I'll never get it out of my mind!!

I thought it was great! I have an old LP of the music (Hugo Montenegro)
"Courage is going from failure to failure without losing enthusiasm" (Churchill).

I hadn't realized that he had played "The Man from U.N.C.L.E." too.  I associate him with the character Ducky from the hit tv show (here in the US at least) "NCIS".

That's because you're from a younger generation!

How young can you "make me" be?  ;)

Haha - don't want to speculate but I guess that you can get some idea from people's favourite 'James Bond' (ie the one that they grew up with) or (in the UK) 'their' 'Dr Who' (in my case Sean Connery and William Hartnell - in both cases the first exponents of those roles).
