Clara Schumann: Romance Op. 11 No. 1

It's absurd that the piano work of Clara Schumann has chiefly been showcased by women, but it has unfortunately been the case. (Would love to have someone challenge me on this score.) Hence, the anomaly of finding this performance by pianist, Timo Andes, of the first movement of Schumann's Romance  Op. 11, No. 1 -

Of course, there's the cpo 2001 release by Josef de Beenhouwer (male) of her "complete" piano work but I'd have to concur with this reviewer, of its assessment if not with the quality Madame Schumann's output. Just seems unfortunate that her work has seem to have become more of a cause to champion rather than simply a very small body of work to appreciate.
