Good news!  I have the recording! :D It's really not too bad--lots of missed notes, but the tone and style is good.

Now if I can just figure out how to rip the tracks and post clips here... ???

My PC really didn't like this ripper, but many people think it's good (and it's free): http://cdexos.sourceforge.net/?q=download

Once you have the files, they can be uploaded to a site like www.mediafire.com or www.rapidshare.com - these both have filesize limits of 100mb, so unless the CD has them all in one track, it will be easy to divide the tracks into two zips (or many seperate single file uploads) if the total size of them ends up over 100mb.

If you are stuck on 56k, somebody could volunteer to rip it at a high bitrate and upload it somewhere, if it's mailed to them, perhaps. Although I don't know if US internal mail is as affordable as I am used to in my small country.

Do you always operate with a six-month lag, Karl?

Joe_Campbell

Just found this. Have you had a chance to upload your music yet, John? It was torture reading through this thread without the payoff at the end! ;D

Well, I tried to upload the clips a couple of times, but it didn't work; I think my connection is just too slow. :-X  Maybe someday I'll try from a different computer...
