I also ran into a problem today; deleted any parenthesis and that still didn't make a difference.  I copied the post (text) to try again at another time.

I really don't think the issue has anything to do with something like parentheses. The issue is much more to do with the software being stuck on some particular thing that you've done before, and referencing back to the past instance of you doing that rather than the current one and being confused. There is stuff in caches or cookies that would normally work alright, but at the moment the software is upset about it.

Exactly WHAT the software is stuck on will be different from person to person. The fact that it's parentheses for one person is not going to mean other people have a parentheses problem. I certainly don't.

I say this in part because, while my own problem is thankfully restricted to my first attempt each day to enter the forum and it hasn't been affecting my actual posting, there's a clear reference when my error occurs to a 'session ID', which is part of the PHP system that is going screwy. The 'forbidden' error is essentially the software saying, incorrectly, "you're not supposed to be here".

The only 'Forbidden' message I've ever got (so far ..) is if I try to put a laughter emoji at the beginning of a line then the whole post is forbidden. If I even put just a full stop before it, all is suddenly fine again. A strange little quirk but thankfully easily bypassed.
