The new Britbox video streaming series Ludwig (also available on Amazon Prime Video), a comedy/crime drama of the sort the British excel at, may be of interest to some on this forum since the soundtrack music is all (so far as I can tell) some form or other of Beethoven compositions.

I sure hope George Bridgetower is in the film, he was Beethoven's constant companion for a time..

No, the TV show is not about Beethoven. It is about a puzzle setter, John, who is masquerading as James, John's twin brother. James was a police detective until he went missing. The main character, John, signs "Ludwig" in all his puzzle books because he was inspired by listening to Beethoven's 9th when he created his first puzzle.

The TV show employs Beethoven's compositions as the soundtrack. I mean, they are interpolated, mixed, transcribed, etc., but the music is still all fundamentally Beethoven.

Hello there, thanks for explaining, and that still does seems interesting. I guess in my mind I had this picture in my head that it would be some spin-off series involving Beethoven and his colleagues.
